I had the pleasure of interviewing fellow author Anna Jaye Wilde. I hope you enjoy getting to know her and her works as much as I did.
1. Where are you from?
I live in sunny South Wales, UK. Although I’m being ironic because anyone that lives here will tell you it rains most of the time!
2. What have you written and in what genre?
I have written around 50 short books all in the Erotica genre and appealing to a variety of tastes…
3. How long does it take you to write a book?
For me, not long as my stories are short.
4. Where do you get your ideas for your books?
Now there’s a question! Some are personal fantasies, I can’t lie. Some are things I might like to do if I was a total exhibitionist. And I do a fair amount of research for the books that are aimed at men to create enjoyable scenarios for them too.
5. What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I like to read and watch films, particularly action or thrillers. I am quite creative and enjoy designing my own book covers and teasers for my stories.
6. How many books have you written and which is your favorite?
Over 50 short books and stories, my favourites are probably my “Secrets of a High Class Call Girl” series. They feature Kayla Valentine who enjoys her work as much as her clients!
7. Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?
Read a lot. And try to get reviews from bloggers, they will always be honest.
8. What in your experience is the best way to promote a book?
I would love to know the answer to that! I promote mainly on Twitter.
9. How do you attract people to your website and Facebook page?
Again with Twitter mostly and with the web addresses in the back of all my books.
10. What was the hardest part about writing your books?
Not stuffing my face with food while I’m sitting on the sofa all day. Seriously!
11. What did you enjoy most about writing your books?
I get to live my naughtiest fantasies vicariously through my characters…
12. Who are some of your favorite authors?
I have a lot but I love Emma Scott, Sydney Landon and (surprisingly) Charlotte and Anne Bronte, Jane Eyre is one of my favourite books ever. I also love authors Leslie McAdam, Connie Lafortune, Maria Monroe, Alexis Alvarez and Diemme Black…all worth checking out!
13. What do you read in your free time?
As much as I can, usually romance / erotica but sometimes classics.
14. What projects are you working on at the present?
I am working on more naughty short stories and discovering new fantasies I can write about!
